Financial Aid Scholarship Applications for 2024 ARE OPEN!

APPLICATION PROCESS
CYC offers a Financial Aid Scholarship to campers seeking to enhance their cultural experience. A 50% discount (registration fee and bus fee) is available to those campers who demonstrate that their family income falls at or below the levels indicated by the chart below.
STEP ONE: Review the Family Size and Income Chart below and determine eligibility for Financial Aid Scholarship.
If you do not qualify based on the income levels indicated below, your application will be immediately rejected.

STEP TWO: Complete the Online Financial Aid Scholarship Application.
Each child will need to individually apply. This includes the online application and submission of supporting documentation. The online application will take approximately 20 minutes to complete and will require the following information:
- Camper Information: Name, Phone, Email, Number of Years at CYC
- Parent / Guardian Information: Name, Relationship to Camper, Phone, Email
- Submission of Supporting Documentation: 2023 tax return, W-2, 1099’s or any other verification of income from 2023. We recommend that you scan these documents in advance as the online application requires you to attach a digital file.
- Essay by Camper – “Why would you like to attend Camp this year”, and/or “How will Camp benefit you?”: Essay must be at least 120 words in English or Chinese. The answer to this prompt may serve as a deciding factor should the number of applicants exceed available scholarships. Answers should be authentic and individually composed.
Please note, financial aid scholarships are limited and are not selected on a first come first serve basis. Criteria for selection is based on need as well as the quality of application submission. A confirmation email will be sent following your submission to acknowledge receipt of your application.
STEP THREE: Upon selection and email notification, complete the Online Registration (see Registration for Instructions).
If your application is approved and selected, you will receive an email notification from [email protected] with further instructions to complete the Online Registration within 5 business days. Do NOT complete the Online Registration prior to email notification. If Online Registration is not completed within 5 business days, your spot will be released. Please note, acceptance email notifications may be sent as late as May 7, 2024.
